Please Review Users using flight mode in the offline client.

Reviewerscan download reviews while offline.

Flight mode is a setting in Please Review that is part of the offline client, so reviewers can access documentation and work without wireless internet connection. For more information on the offline client, please see How to Review with the OLC.

Downloading Reviews

1. From the Please Review homepage, click the ‘Flight Mode’ link on the left-hand menu:

Note: the first time you access the flight mode screen, you will be prompted to bookmark the page so that it can be accessed offline.

2. The flight mode screen displays a listing of all reviews available for you to download. Use the checkboxes to select the review(s) you wish to take offline and click ‘Download’:

3. Your internet connection status will display in the bottom left hand corner.

Note: flight mode supports Microsoft Word documents only, therefore reviews which do not contain any Word documents will not be listed as available for download. Reviews containing mixed document formats including at least one Word document will be listed but only the Word document(s) can be downloaded.

Important: You must not clear your browser cache whilst using flight mode. Clearing your browser cache will delete all documents and comments made offline.

Reviewing Documents in Flight Mode

Reviews which you have downloaded will be listed in the 'Offline Reviews' section.

1. Once offline, the flight mode screen, which you have bookmarked, will display your downloaded reviews:

2. You can add comments and make proposed changes in the usual way whilst in flight mode.
3. Paragraphs where you have added comments or made proposed changes will display highlighted:

4. When you have finished reviewing the document(s), click the ‘Leave Review’ icon to leave the review and update your review status in the usual way.

Uploading Documents

When you are back online you can upload your comments:

You have two options when uploading reviews:

• Upload: Uploads comments and removes the review from the list of offline reviews in flight mode.
• Upload and Keep: Uploads comments and leaves the review in the list of offline reviews in flight mode.
