Getting Started with Reviewing Excel Spreadsheets

Reviewing an Excel spreadsheet in Please Review is a straightforward process that entails uploading the Excel file to the platform, which then creates a collaborative review space where multiple users can make annotations, comments, and track changes simultaneously. Reviewers can access specific cells or sections of the spreadsheet, facilitating efficient data analysis and collaborative editing to enhance the accuracy and quality of the reviewed content.

Review Interface
Important: Microsoft Excel spreadsheets are presented in the classic review interface.
- When you enter the review, the spreadsheet is viewed in the review pane, which is the main part of the window.
- The navigation pane on the left allows you to navigate the spreadsheet by worksheet.
- The comment window is where you make comments and proposed changes. It can be set to display on the right of the window (as shown), the left, or as a pop-up.
- You can set your location preference in your user settings.
Making Comments and Proposed Changes
To add a comment or make a proposed change, simply click on the text in the document to activate the editing window:

Once applied, all comments and proposed changes are marked up in the spreadsheet and can be identified by the ’P’ and ‘C’ icons:
Key Information
- General comment - applies to the whole spreadsheet.
- Reconciliation report - opens the full report in a new window.
- Leave review - leave the review interface and update your status.
Leaving the Review
When you have finished reviewing the spreadsheet, you exit the review by clicking the leave the review button ' ' on the toolbar. You will then be prompted to update your status:
