Preparing for a Please Review 8 Upgrade

Before you perform the upgrade it is important to prepare. This article outlines the main steps required to prepare for an upgrade. The article is split into the following sections:
1. Before You Begin
Before you begin the upgrade it is important for you to:
- Download the installation files: These can be downloaded from the Please Review download centre.
- Confirm you have a valid license file: If you are moving from a major release (e.g. Please Review 7.9 to Please Review 8.0 then you will need a new license file. This can be requested by raising a ticket with Support.
- Review the installation instructions: The instructions will vary slightly depending on your installation and the version you are upgrading from.
2. Confirm Version Steps
If you are upgrading from an older version of Please Review (i.e. lower than Please Review 8.0) then you will have additional steps to perform in order to migrate all of your data to the latest version.
The following table contains a checklist with the steps you will need to take depending on your current version of Please Review.
Example: If you are currently running Please Review 7.0 then you will need to perform all of the checked steps in order to upgrade to Please Review 8.0.0.
