Reviewerscan download reviews while offline.

The Offline Client (OLC) is a free application which allows Reviewers to download reviews and make comments and proposed changes whilst offline. The comments can then be uploaded to the review when back online. The OLC is a separate installation, and its availability is controlled by a system configuration setting. If made available, the application needs to be installed locally on user’s PCs.

Note: If Offline Client (OLC) is used, ensure all offline reviews are uploaded before performing the Server upgrade. Some major releases require fresh download for reviews in OLC to continue to function. It is strongly recommended that comments in offline reviews are uploaded prior to Server upgrade so that offline comments are not lost after the upgrade.

Downloading the Offline Client

1. When you open the OLC application you will be prompted to login. Enter your usual login details for Please Review:

2. Once logged in, the main OLC window opens.
3. Click the ‘Download’ icon to download your reviews.

4. You will be presented with a list of reviews where you are a participant:

5. You can download more than one review at a time by holding down the Ctrl key as you select the reviews.

Note: If a review is closed, you can still download it, but it will be read-only.

OLC Options

1. Downloaded reviews will be listed in the main OLC window. Selecting a review will enable more buttons on the toolbar:

2. Once in the review, the environment is the same as Please Review online.
3. All comments and proposed changes on the review at the time of download will be displayed, and you can make new comments and proposed changes in the usual way.

4. When you have finished reviewing the document, you can leave the review, update your review status, and watch options as normal.
5. You will then be taken back to the main OLC window.

OLC Upload

1. When you are back online, click the ‘Upload’ icon to upload your comments:

2. The upload reviews dialog box will open, listing all reviews you have downloaded to the Offline Client:

3. You will receive a confirmation that the upload has been successful, and you can close the window.
