IT Personnel planning an upgrade to Please Review 7.0.0.

With the new version of Please Review installed you are now ready to apply the same configuration settings implemented in your old version to the new version.

For example: changes to files that are delivered with a template extension.

1. Update the Config.xml

During the new installation a new config.xml will be created. This file will need to be updated with any configuration changes made in your old version.

To do this:

1. Browse to your Please Review installation directory. 
2. Locate config.xml.template.

Example: By default, this file will be held in C:\Program Files\PleaseReview\Runtime\config however this may differ depending on your chosen installation directory.

1. Copy the config.xml.template file and paste this into the same folder.
2. Rename the file to config.xml.
3. Open config.xml.
4. Browse to your backup folder (created while following the steps in How to Backup an Existing Please Review Installation).
5. Locate and open your old config.xml file.
6. Update the new config.xml with any config changes that were made to the original file.
7. Save the new file.

Important Note: PCC settings (for PrizmDoc service) located in the config.xml are no longer needed in Please Review 7.

2. Update the Web.config

During the new installation a new web.config file will be created. This file will need to be updated with any configuration changes made in your old version.

To do this:

1. Browse to the Please Review directory.
2. Locate web.config.template.

Example: By default, this file will be held in C:\Program Files\PleaseReview\TaraWeb however this may differ depending on your chosen installation directory.

3. Copy the web.config.template file and paste this into the same folder.
4. Rename the file to web.config.
5. Browse to your backup folder (created while following the steps in How to Backup an Existing Please Review Installation).
6. Locate and open web.config.
7. Update the new web.config with any config changes made.
8. Save the file.

3. Copy Runtime/Data Directory

1. Browse to the Please Review installation directory. By default this will be:

Example: By default, this will be C:\Program Files\PleaseReview however this may differ depending on your chosen installation directory.

2. Locate the documentfiles directory.
3. Browse to your backup folder (created while following the steps in How to Backup an Existing Please Review Installation).
4. Locate the documentfiles directory.
5. Copy the folder into your new live Please Review directory.
6. Verify the permissions are still valid as per the steps in How to Install Please Review.
