Server Upgrade Process
Customers with a valid Support Contract can request an upgrade at any time, provided there is a newer version, which supports any integration(s) they use, available.
Before Upgrading
Reviews in progress will continue to carry on as normal after upgrading but users should ensure that all offline revies in Flight Mode or the Offline Client are put online prior to the upgrade. The change in version might make the offline data incompatible with the server so could then be unable to upload back to the server if left offline.
On-Premise Customers
Customers who host their own installations will be provided the latest server download links, which include the upgrade instructions and release notes. Support can provide an updated license for their installation when the instance being upgraded is confirmed. We will need a copy of the existing license.
If they wish us to perform the upgrade for them, they would need to speak to their account manager about arranging this with the Implementation Team, as for us to perform the upgrade or to help, hands on, during a screenshare, that would be a chargeable service.
Hosted Customers
Customers who we host here can have the whole upgrade done without charge, and either their account manager or Support can contact the Implementation Team, to contact the customers to schedule in a suitable time for this, confirming which instance, if there are more than one hosted, needs to be upgraded.
Rolling Back
Typically the only rollback that is normally done is the database to the backup if the upgrade schema was not carried out correctly, or it generated an error at the time of running the database migration code. These should be done in order for every version release since the version you were on before, as per the installation instructions.
Whilst it is not recommended, and we would recommend discussing with Support to see if challenges can be resolved first, the only way a full rollback is possible is if not only the database is backed up, but also the files on the document files folder are backed up, but in such a way that they both the database and document files folder can be restored a specific point in time That means any files since deleted or added are also rolled back accordingly.

In all cases, the release notes for the latest versions can be found here:
