1. Product changes
We're excited to advance our Hub integration with Phase 2, adding improved notifications via Ideagen Hub, cascade logout for consistent session management across Hub and Please Review, and OIDC authentication support for Offline Client (OLC) and Word Plugin to aid Hub migration.
1.1. Hub integration phase 2
We've improved integration with Ideagen Hub to enhance notifications, session management, and authentication (PR-36001, PR-36002, PR-36003, PR-36004, PR-37966, PR-38700, PR-38709, PR-38722, PR-38773, PR-38976):
- Hub Notification: Centralised, event-driven notifications for real-time updates.
- Cascade Logout: Sessions end automatically on logout from either Please Review or Hub, boosting security.
- OIDC Authentication: Desktop apps like Offline Client and Word Plugin now support OIDC authentication.
1.2. IQMP SSO Integration
We have integrated Hub with IQMP (Q-Pulse) to simplify authentication and improve platform interoperability when both are onboarded (PR-38085, PR-38324, PR-38325):
- SSO Integration: Smooth SSO with Q-Pulse
- OAuth 2.0 for secure cross-platform access.
- Automatic user login when launching Please Review from IQMP.
2. Software improvements
2.1. Bug fixes and stability improvements
- Import Users with Multiple Workgroup IDs (PR - 39183)
- Fixed issue preventing import of users with multiple workgroup IDs.
- Password Rules Not Displaying for SYSADMIN (PR - 38409)
- Resolved password rules not showing for Sysadmin users.
- CGI Generic CSRF Detection (PR - 34720)
- Fixed potential Cross-Site Request Forgery vulnerability in CGI functionality.
- Firefox: Exit Review/Preview Zone Returns to Veeva PR Inbox (PR - 23718)
- Fixed issue where exiting review/preview in Firefox didn't close the Please Review tab and returned to Veeva PR Inbox.
