1. Changes to Please Review 7.8.0
Please Review 7.8.0 includes the following changes:
1.1. New Redaction Workflow for Veeva Vault Safety
This feature provides a streamlined redaction review process, allowing the creation and initiation of redaction reviews with a single click within Veeva Vault Safety Management. It takes source documents, redacts any personal information contained within them, and maintains the original, unredacted source document as a separate document. Furthermore, it generates a redacted version as a distinct yet related document version, ensuring the preservation of both the original and the redacted forms.
Note: All safety customers who operate in the EU or other regions with strict data privacy regulations
need to redact their documents. These customers will benefit from this streamlined redaction review workflow.
2. Downloading Please Review 7.8.0
Please Review 7.8.0 is available to all Please Review customers and can be downloaded from the Please Review 7.8.0 Download Centre.
There is no Veeva Vault Upgrade Guide to upgrade from 7.7.0 to enable Redaction Workflow, as you will need to configure it from the start. Please refer to Please Review v7.8 Veeva Vault Redaction Workflow Installation Guide to configure Redaction Workflow. It is required that the Please Review system is integrated with Veeva Vault before patching starts and the integration is fully operational.
Important: If you are running Please Review 7.7.0 or lower then please contact your account manager to request a Please Review 7.8.0 license file.
3. Performing the Update
The steps to perform the upgrade are outlined at How to Perform a Please Review Upgrade.
The steps will vary based on the version of Please Review you are using and what configurations you have implemented. The high level steps to upgrade are:
- Configure Microsoft .NET Framework.
- Backup the Database and Configs.
- Remove the Old Please Review.
- Update Node.js.
- Install Please Review 7.8.0.
- Merge Config Settings.
- Upgrade the Please Review Database.
