This article addresses the potential reasons for the unavailability of the "reopen" button on the closeout screen.

1. Not Closed/Completed

A review needs to be Closed or Completed for the the reopen button to appear.

2. Workgroup Management Setting

The Re-open Completed Review setting within workgroup management can be configured at both the top Root workgroup level and its sub workgroups. If set to DENY, this configuration would restrict access to the button.

Important: Workgroup admins or SYSADMINs have the authority to verify and adjust this setting.

3. Multi-Phase Review

Reopening phases of a multi-phase review isn't feasible due to the subsequent phases already being in progress and the database storing original text along with comments and changes for each paragraph. If a previous phase were reopened and recompleted, discrepancies could arise due to changes in the original text and the existing comments/changes stored in the database. Allowing this could potentially disrupt the system, hence it's not supported. It underscores the importance of configuring settings correctly for a multi-phase review and the warning prompts when attempting to complete a phase manually without approving comments and changes, as once completed, it cannot be reopened.

4. Sub-Review

When conducting a sub-review, there exists a level of synchronisation with the master review where comments and changes can be integrated into the master review. However, once the sub-review is finalised, it ceases to synchronise with the master review. Similar to the challenge encountered in phase reviews, the database retains original text along with associated comments and changes for each paragraph, making reopening a sub-review infeasible as it would result in inconsistencies and potential complications. Hence, we cannot accommodate the reopening of sub-reviews.

5. Externally Sourced Documents

Reviews involving externally sourced documents cannot be reopened, and this restriction cannot be bypassed or overridden.
