1. Changes to Please Review 8.2.0

Please Review 8.2.0 includes the following changes:

1.1. Brand refresh  

We've updated our product branding to strengthen recognition and align with Ideagen's corporate identity:  

1. New product name: The application is now branded as "Ideagen Please Review" throughout the platform.
2. Updated visual identity: New logo and icons across all interfaces including:  
   • Web application and PR-Centric.  
   • Offline Client (OLC).  
   • Office Plugin.  

This ensures you can easily recognise when you're using an Ideagen product, while enjoying a consistent and seamless brand experience across all your interactions with us.

1.2. Faster Word document downloads

Enjoy faster and more reliable Word document downloads, thanks to performance improvements driven by your feedback. 

1. Reduced download times: Documents that previously took over a minute now download significantly faster.
2. Improved experience: A more streamlined and dependable download process.
3. Optimised performance: Backend enhancements make handling large documents more efficient. 

These updates directly address concerns raised by enterprise customers and help boost overall productivity.

2. Downloading Please Review 8.2.0

Please Review 8.2.0 is available to all Please Review customers and can be downloaded from the Please Review 8.2.0 download centre.

For Ideagen hosted customers, please contact your dedicated account manager to schedule an upgrade with one of our implementation consultants at no extra cost.

Important: You should request a new license for the version you are currently on. Please contact your account manager to request the appropriate license file.

3. Performing the update

The steps to perform the upgrade are outlined at Performing a Please Review 8 Upgrade.

The steps will vary based on the version of Please Review you are using and what configurations you have implemented. The high-level steps to upgrade are:

1. Configure Microsoft .NET Framework.
2. Backup the Database and Configs.
3. Remove the Old Please Review.
4. Update Node.js.
5. Install Please Review 8.2.0.
6. Merge Config Settings.
7. Upgrade the Please Review Database.
