Please Review 8.0.0 includes the following changes:
1.1. Improved Word Content Control handling
- What's new: Users can now edit Word Content Controls containing SimpleField and IncludeText fields as governed by the control's locking properties.
- Benefit: This change transforms previously non-editable Word Content Controls that contain Simple Fields and Include Text fields, providing a greater review experience and user empowerment.
1.2. Transfer Ownership within Veeva centric Integration
- What's new: Seamless transfer of review ownership directly within Veeva centric integration.
- Benefit: Enhances the review process and boosts efficiency by simplifying the transfer of review ownership.
1.3. Upgraded .NET Standard 2.0
- What's new: Enhanced compatibility with modern development features through the upgrade.
- Benefit: Boosts performance and enhances security by ensuring compatibility with modern development features, thus avoiding abortive work.
1.4. Other features
- Upgraded Veeva Vault API 24R2: Strengthens our integration with Veeva Vault.
- Upgraded jQuery UI: Updated to an established version for reinforcing security by overcoming vulnerabilities.
- Improved UI Automation: Optimised our internal testing process and sped up the testing of new versions.

2. Downloading Please Review 8.0.0
Please Review 8.0.0 is available to all Please Review customers and can be downloaded from the Please Review 8.0.0 download centre.
For Ideagen hosted customers, please contact your dedicated account manager to schedule an upgrade with one of our implementation consultants at no extra cost.
Important: If you are running Please Review 7.9.0 or lower then please contact your account manager to request a Please Review 8.0.0 license file.
3. Performing the update
The steps to perform the upgrade are outlined at Performing a Please Review 8.0.0 Upgrade.
The steps will vary based on the version of Please Review you are using and what configurations you have implemented. The high level steps to upgrade are:
- Configure Microsoft .NET Framework.
- Backup the Database and Configs.
- Remove the Old Please Review.
- Update Node.js.
- Install Please Review 8.0.0.
- Merge Config Settings.
- Upgrade the Please Review Database.
