Review Owners can close multi-phase reviews.

A multi-phase review refers to a review process that is divided into multiple stages or phases. Instead of conducting a single review where all feedback is gathered at once, the review process is broken down into several sequential phases, each with a specific focus. This approach can be beneficial for large or complex documents, as well as documents that undergo multiple rounds of revision.

1. Multi-Phase Review Closeout

• A review Owner can close out a phase using the ‘closeout’ link on from the Review Control Panel.
• The ‘closeout’ link takes the Owner to the closeout screen for the phase where the previous comment selection can be overridden (if necessary) prior to starting the next phase:

Here are a few things to note about closing a multi-phase review:

• Once comments have been copied between phases they are not separately identified.
• Comments carried forward by a Reviewer not included in the current phase are still credited to the Reviewer who made them. It is possible for Reviewers in the current phase to ‘Reply’ to the comments, but the original Reviewer is unable to see the reply or join in the discussion – only Reviewers in the current phase can see the discussion and join in.
• Re-opening closed reviews is not available in a multi-phase review.
